A brand refresh for USA Today, a video syle guide, and moodbaords for the sub brands.

The Ask
As part of USA Today's 2017 brand-refresh my team created a video graphics package to serve as a template for the newspaper's online content. As the team created these graphics we did an in-depth research and presented case studies of companies such as Vox, CNN, Vice, AJ+, my team had a great inspiration/research phase that led to valuable fidings.
Designing for Two Markets
Gannett's business has two markets, a local and a national. The refresh had to work with both markets.
Video Graphics
The video graphic templates included a wide range of use cases to meet the needs of the news team, to stream-line the development process, and ensure a coehsive brand experience.
Video Editing Guide
To accompany the video graphic stemplate we developed a high-level video editing guide, for the video editors to refrence, and align to.
Social Media Styleguide
We captured all of our assets in a comprehensive style guide for both the nataional and local markets.
