OVERVIEW

Context

NIDDK had mutliple tactics that lacked a cohieisve visual idenity, the first two years was dedictaed to revamping all the tactics to not only feel visually consistent but have a consistenct copy strategy.

Brand Style Guide

After winning the NIDDK communication contract we needed to create a cohesive visual language for the brand. I started to build a bran dstyle guide that everaged the fonts from the website and incorporated the logo best practices that was provided by NIH. This provided us a foundation to build from and tweak as we developed additional tactics.

The development of the social media style guide had multiple phases to it. It began with a comeptiot anaylsyis of what other content pillars government accounts were publishing and then looked at what the private sector publishes. We then worked with the social media team to define content areas and create content pillars. I then spearheaded the creation of new templates with visual mockup depicitng on the possible visual styling of the template. Once we recieved apporval from the client ont he content pilalrs we created moodbaords to help to define the look at feel of the visual identity for NIDDK.
